Our Values

Our Founder

Emily Eskine, founder of top-rate pet sitting service, Emily Says Sit, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Hi, I'm Emily!

My name is Emily Eskine and I am the owner and founder of Emily Says Sit, a professional pet care company in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have been helping animals since a young age! Mostly cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes! I have been a volunteer with CAAWS, Project Purr, and other local organizations for over 10 years. I am a frequent foster mom and have work experience in doggy daycare as well.

I have been a professional pet sitter since 2017. This is my full time business and take my job seriously. My dogs love coming to work with me on walks and love meeting new friends!

Dogs and cats are held very dear to my heart. I am also an artist and frequent many art pop and art festival events in Baton Rouge. I enjoy a range of things in art and do pet portraits on the side.

I love learning about each animal and their personality! I really do enjoy visits to the dog park with my dogs and my fosters and I am just excited for each trip as they are! I love quiet time walking in my city and neighborhood with my pups and enjoy play time with any cute critter!

I have experience with exotic pets such as parrots, chinchillas, turtles and even chickens.

Meet Emily's Pets

Dog walking and pet sitting in Baton Rouge, LA.

Zoey (Maltipoo)

Zoey LOVES people! She is okay with other dogs and overtime she forms a friendship. She is very laid back and loves to snuggle and is a good girl when it comes to sharing her space.

Jet (Shorthair Black Cat)

Jet appeared at a house sitting I had and he was very tiny and hungry. My clients did not recognize him and we could not locate an owner. I took him home and he has been part of the family ever since. He is extremely good motivated and very active and sweet.

Lady (Border Collie Mix)

Lady was almost hit by a car when she was found in June, 2016. She was most likely abandoned or dumped after giving birth to puppies. Since her adoption she has been nothing but loving to all dogs and cats around her! Her best friend is her cat brother Atticus.

Atticus (Brown Tabby Maine Coon Mix)

Atticus is a very sweet boy. He was born with both back legs twisted inward. He walks on three legs and uses his one healed back leg with his front. He feels no pain but we monitor his weight and he takes monthly steroids for arthritis caused by his disabilities. It looks like a cute clubbed foot he uses as a kickstand. He cannot climb or jump high due to his disability.

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”

What Pet Parents Say

“Emily has been such a great find for us! We moved to the area recently and needed to find someone to take care of our beloved dog, Boomer, when we are away during a busy few months we’ve had. He has a lot of energy and requires a lot of attention, but she has been nothing but great with him - she’s responsive, friendly, responsible, and treats your pet like her own. I highly recommend Emily’s services!"
“I wouldn’t board my dogs with anyone else! Emily and Jon are wonderful and love our pets like their own…And our dogs love them too. They don’t have to go into a kennel when boarding at their house - so the dogs are much happier. They will also house sit at your place if the schedule permits and they do drop in visits and walks. We don’t know what we would do without them. Highly recommend!”
“Emily has been wonderful with our dogs! She is very helpful and professional and loves the dogs as much as we do! We have one pup that requires special food and medicine and she has no problems taking care of him and keeping him feeling well! (Which is not easy). We are very happy to have Emily to take care of our pups when we need the help!”
